Northlink Ferries Owned M.V Hamnavoe was seen today passing Port Askiag in the Sound Of Islay at 1400hrs she was heading for her Overhaul at Birkenhead Liverpool. She usually runs between Scrabster-Stromness.

Northlink Ferries, M.V Hamnavoe is seen passing Port Askaig on her return journey home to Stromness after having Stabalizer repairs in Cammel Lairds dry dock on the Mersey. She is the first Northlink vessel to pass through the Sound of Islay.. Picture taken By Graham Paterson
