M.V Cromarty Rose


M.V Cromarty Rose arrived Port Ellen for an Overnight Berth she Arrived 1645hrs.


The new owner of Cromart's Well-Kent Ferry, Martin Woolls, Prepares to sail from northen waters to her new base in the Bristol Channel. she will run a service to the privatley-owned island of Steep Holm, about five miles offshore from the seaside resort of Weston-super-Mare.

Linkspan refurbishment gets underway at Port Ellen.
the refurbishment will comprise of steelwork repairs, raising the level of the linkspan, as well as an mechanical overhaul and lifting rope replacement and painting.
Work is to done from the 15th Febuary-9th March 2010.

Northlink Ferries Owned M.V Hamnavoe was seen today passing Port Askiag in the Sound Of Islay at 1400hrs she was heading for her Overhaul at Birkenhead Liverpool. She usually runs between Scrabster-Stromness.
