P.S Waverley
P.S Waverley was due to call in at Port Ellen this Afternoon on her way to Oban, She cancelled her call in due to the Swell and Wind outside Port Ellen bay.
My brother was due to land at Port Ellen on the Waverley with his bicycle and camping gear. He was gutted in having to go all the way to Oban instead :-(
How bad was the sea that day at Port Ellen ?
Perhaps the waverley should be stripped of its 'last sea going paddle steamer' ecolade, and replaced with 'fair weather...' ;-)
