Hi Elliot
I'm glad that you eventually got to take these pictures that you have waited so long to take - and the weather was so good too. Its a while since I've managed Port Ellen on the paddler (probably about 5 years now as I don't get to do many of the Oban - Clyde journeys. However, I've been over to visit friends at Port Charlotte a couple of times in that period but both were via Port Askaig.
So I'm sorry I couldn't be there to meet you and, presumably, you didn't get aboard to look around (?) - maybe next time. I have a few pictures of Waverley's 1984 call at Port Ellen when mv Glen Sannox was at the berth occupied by Hebridean Isles in your pictures - let me know if you want copies. Stuart Cameron
